David Fowler

A new health club just opened in your neighborhood. How did it end up there? Fitness industry expert David Fowler takes GLG through some of the key metrics business developers weigh before breaking ground in a new area. Fowler also discusses the rise of boutique gyms, brand development, and the different ways health clubs make their money.

David Fowler is a hospitality and fitness executive with over 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, brand development, multi-location facilities management, and sales channel development. Fowler is currently the President of Greco Fitness, a Canadian-based boutique fitness company. Previously, Fowler served as Executive Vice President at Gold’s Gym International, where he oversaw day-to-day sales and operations for the company’s more than 150 corporate-owned gyms. Before that, Fowler was Chief Operating Officer at Crunch Fitness and spent 7 years as Director of Operations for Equinox Fitness Clubs, where he grew the brand from its first location to 6 state-of-art clubs and spas throughout New York City.
